He was born on January 18th, 1979 in Linkou, Taiwan. Jay Chou is a Taiwanese Musician, Singer-song writer, Music and Film Producer, Rapper, DJ, Music and Film Director, Arranger, Model, Screen Writer and Actor. He grew up in Linkou. His mother, Ye Hui Mei took him to piano lessons at the age of three. Now, he can play some instruments such as : piano, guitar, fiddles, harmonica, cello, gu zheng, pipa, er hu, ukulele, banjo, sitar, and violin. In 1998 he as discovered in a talent contest where he displayed his clarinet recorder, piano and song-writing skill. Over the next two years, he was hired to compase for Popular Mandarin, R and B, Rock, Hip-hop, and Mando Pop.
In 2000s, Chou released his first Album, titled Jay. Since then, he has released one album per year. His Album are Fantasy in 2001, Eight Dimentions in 2002, Ye Hui Mei in 2003, Common Jasmine Orange in 2004, November's Chopin in 2005, Still Fantasy in 2006, Fearless in 2007, On the Run in 2008, Capricorn in 2009, The Era in 2010, Exclamation Mark in 2011 and Opus 12 in 2012.
Chou, formally entered the film industry in 2003 with the releas of the movie Hidden Track, Initial-D in 2005, Curse of the Golden Flower in 2006, Secret in 2007, Kung Fu Dunk in 2008, The Teasure Hunter in 2009, True Legend in 2010, The Green Hornet in 2011, The Viral Factor in 2012 and Roof Top in 2013.
From the launch of his career in 2000s, Jay Chou has won more than 350 singer, singer-song writer and producer awards in Asia. I become his fans since I was in Junior High School.
