The name “Cinnamon” comes through the Greek kinnamomon, possibly from Phoenician. In Hindi it is called dal chini. In Urdu it is called dar chini. In Sri Lanka (Sinhala), cinnamon is kwons as kurundu and was recorded in English in the 17th century as “Korunda”. In Indonesia, where it is cultivated in Java and Sumatra, it is called kayu manis (sweet wood). Now, let’s start.
