PRO LIFE - ABORTION

        

Each year in Indonesia there's 2,5 millions cases about abortion. Millons of women become pregnant unintentionally and many choose to end their pregnancies. Despite the fact that abortion is generally illegal. What is abortion really mean ? An abortion is when pregnancy is ended so that it doen't result in the birth of a child. Restrictions for abortion set by the Criminal Code of 299, " Whoever deliberately treating a woman or to have so treared the treatment with the substance can fall, treatened with the longest criminal 4 years in prison".  The Bible teaches that human life is different from other types of life, because human beings are made in the very image of God. The accounts of the creation of man and woman in Genesis (Genesis 1:26-31; 2:4-25) tell us this: "God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them".
         Abortion should not be legal. Abortion may cause many negative effects for women's health. Women risk their health and lives in bearing the weight of operation and it's consequences. The most common complications are Inflammation, Interruption of menstrual patterns, Infertility, Endonetriosis, Myoma of the uterus and many opther kinds of ovary illnesses. Another reason why abortion should be illegal is because it goes against many religions. The Bible's old testament Exodus 20:13 is Thoushalt not kill and in the Al-Qur'an (6:15, 4:29) say, " Take no life which God has made sacred". Abortion is a kind to murder as it is the atc of taking human life. Abortion also frequently causes intense pcychological pain and stress. I think abortion should be illegal, but I also think there are some exceptions. Things like if the woman was raped or incest etc. Other that that I don't think that abortion should be allowed because it can increase the risk of breast cancer of the woman. Also because after sometime, a fetus can feel pain during an abortion. Last but no least (murder) goes against many religions. Abortion is a cruel and sad way that kill an innocent child when it literally has done nothing wrong. Sadly, these babies are punished for their parents' mistakes.
         In conclution, I believe that abortion is wrong. Unless it's absolutely necessary. The reasons for this is because eventhough abortion may take a burden off of some women's shoulders, afterward it's just putting weight on again. Abortion increase the risk of breast cancer. Another reason is because killing a baby, an innocent human is wrong, but torturing it's even worse. Also lastly a lot of religions forbid an abortion. People can do a lot of things to avoid an issue like abortion. One of them is try to avoid unwanted pregnancies. A baby deserves the right to live.

TOLERANCE

      Tolerance in Religion is an interesting and popular thing but it's difficult to apply in the real life. Lately we often hear about cases of social unrest that is often associated with the religious factor. Is during this time the society has run the tolerance in everyday life ? What is the actual meaning of tolerance ? 
         Tolerance is eccepting and respecting the fact that other people have differences of opinions, or ideas of how things should be done. It's also respecting others of differences between cultures, races, or religions. Tolerance according to some reliogions : 
- Al -Qur'an said in Qs. Al-Hujarat verse 10," People of faith are indeed brothers, so please fix the relationship between both of your brothers and fear of God, and you will get a grace."
- The Holy Bible said in Matius 22 : 38, " And the second is like it : You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
-Living to achieve harmony between religious life, humans should have basic of life in Hinduism is called Catur Purasa Artha which includes : Dharma (victorious), Artha (wealth), Kama (pleasure and satisfaction), and Moksha (happiness).
-Konghu Cu : Ren (love,tolerance), I (Solidarity), Li (manners), Ce (wise,understanding and wisdom) and Sin (trust).
          There's things that can threaten the tolerance, which is :
1. Social disparities. It can become the envy between people and lead to the social conflict.
2. Egoism. For example : the people who just want to help people that have the same faith.
3. Sorting. It mean to creat limits on fellow believers and don't want to hang out or live side by side with people who have different religion. 
So, how can we face this tolerances ? I think we should appreciate something different, see the difference as things that can develop and enrich our country, behave gracefully and don't force the will of the other. It will make us as people who can be tolerant because in general we can't live alone.
